At 15.45hrs on 28th January 1942 this 102 Squadron aircraft swung to starboard on take off at Dalton airfield. The pilot attempted to correct the swing but overcorrected it and it swung out of control to port, left the runway. The undercarriage almost certainly then collapsed as both engines received damage.
