Domonie X7344 at Doncaster airfield.
On 3rd June 1942 an engine of this aircraft caught fire when it was being started up at Doncaster airfield, the fire was put out but not before the aircraft sustained serious damage. It was assessed on site and although initially deemed beyond repair it was not scrapped. At a later date it was repaired and the aircraft still exists, it is housed at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford carrying the civilian registration G-AGJG.

In addition to the list of post-war owners it was extensively rebuilt a number of times before passing to Emanuel Wein and the Duxford Aviation Society. It was lastly rebuilt in 2004 and is now flying again in Scottish Airways scheme. It took part in the Victory celebration flypast over Buckingham Palace on the 10th July 2005.
This Domonie was built at Hatfield by de Havilland as a Dominie MkI to Contract B.104592/40 (a batch of 150 aircraft) and given the serial X7344. It was initially taken on charge by 9 MU at Cosford on 20th March 1941 and was then delivered to 1 Camouflage Flight, at Hendon, on 10th May 1941 who then moved to Stapleford Tawney on 1st June 1942. Officially on paper it was struck off charge following the incident at Doncaster on 3rd June 1942. The aircraft was transported by road to Air Taxi's Ltd at Barton for assessment who then re-assessed it as havin the lesser Cat.B damage and it was sent for a repair in works. On 10th October 1942 it was flown to 18 MU at Dumfries to be placed into storage. A couple of weeks later it was transferred to Scottish Airways Ltd and allotted the civilian registration G-AGJG, it was used to supply the Scottish Islands, including the main naval base at Scapa Flow through-out the rest of the war. On 1st February 1947 it was registered to the BEA Corporation and based at Northolt. On 14th October 1948 it was registered to ADIE Aviation Ltd. at Croydon. On 10th January 1949 it was registered to Mediterranean Air Services Ltd. also at Croydon. On 4th August 1950 it was registered to ADIE Aviation Ltd., still at Croydon. On 9th June 1953 it was registered to Ernest Arthur Taylor at Epsom. On 2nd April 1954 it was registered to I.A.S. (London) Ltd. at London Airport. On 13th March 1953 it was registered to Thomas Hutton Marshall at Christchurch. On 26th September 1960 it was registered to Ernest Percy Jones at Christchurch. On 18th December 1961 it was registered to Thomas Hutton Marshall at Christchurch. On 11th May 1962 it was registered to Gerald Austin Dommett at Christchurch. On 8th June 1967 it was registered to John Alexander Galt at Iver Heath. On 25th March 1968 it was registered to Aerial Enterprises Ltd. at Booker. On 3rd January 1984 it was registered to Emmanuel Wein at Duxford and on 20th March 1986 it was registered to M.J. & D.J.T. Miller at Duxford.
