Halifax R9372 at Linton on Ouse airfield.
The AM Form 78 for Halifax R9372 states that on 26th January 1942 this 35 Squadron sustaining minor damage Cat.Ac/FB but no details are known about what happened. 35 Squadron flew no operational sorties on this date and while it was used on Ops ten days earlier no damage was recorded in the unit ORB.

Halifax R9372 was built by Handley Page and was taken on charge by 35 Squadron on 12th November 1941. On 30th December 1941 it was being flown on an operational flight when it was damaged by flak and it's crew landed at St.Eval. Cat.Ac/FB damage was the damage assessment, it was repaired on site and returned to 35 Squadron on 9th January 1942. It's AM Form 78 states that it sustained Cat.Ac/FB damage on 26th January 1942 but how this occurred is not yet known. It was again repaired on site but this took some weeks, it was not returned to 35 Squadron until 15th April 1942. The aircraft was then transferred to 1652 Conversion Unit on 12th May 1942. On 2nd June 1942 it was used on the Thousand Bomber raid on Essen but force landed in Holland. Cat.Em damage was recorded on the AM Form 78 and it was struck off charge on the same date.
