On 20th June 1942 this aircraft was flown on a navigational training exercise which took the aircraft over North Yorkshire. At 16.40hrs the pilot attempted to land at Dishforth airfield but it floated over the airfield and when it touched down it was too far down the runway for it to be stopped on the available runway.
