On the 18th June 1942 this No.6 (Coastal) Operational Training Unit aircraft was struck by Hudson V8975 when it was parked at Thornaby. It sustained damage and after being assessed it was repaired.

Hudson N7267 was built to contract 791587/38 by Lockheed at Burbank, California and shipped to the UK, arriving in July 1939. After assembly and testing it was taken on charge by 224 Squadron who were based at Leuchars on 10th August 1939. It then transferred to 220 Squadron at Thornaby on 14th October 1939. It was then flown to 32 MU on 15th February 1940 then returned to 220 Squadron on 15th March 1940. On 17th December 1940 it received some form of damage, possibly while flying, the damage was assessed on 1st January 1941 by No.43 Group Damage Assessors and was possibly returned to 220 Squadron once servicable. The aircraft's AM Form 78 then has various entries crossed out. It was taken on charge by No.6 (Coastal) Operational Training Unit on 5th April 1942. On 18th June 1942 it was damaged at Thornaby and it received a Cat.B/FA damage assessment. Once repaired by Cunliffe Owen in a works factory it later served with No.83 Group Communications Flight, based at Redhill, from 3rd August 1943 and it was then transferred to No.1 Radio School, at Cranwell, on 17th April 1944. There it was converted to a ground instructional airframe 4768M in May 1944 and lasted until being struck off charge on 22nd May 1946.
