Spitfire BL892 at Hutton Cranswick airfield.
At 15.45hrs on 27th September 1942 this 316 Squadron was taxying on the perimeter track at Hutton Cranswick airfield prior to taking off for a scrambled operational sortie when the port wing struck an unoccupied lorry that had been left on the track. After hitting the lorry the aircraft slewed around and the undercarriage collapsed.
