Spitfire AA905 at Hutton Cranswick airfield.

During an approach to land at Hutton Cranswick airfield on 26th January 1942 the pilot of this 610 Squadron aircraft reduced power to the engine. When he attempted to push the throttle forward again it would not move and the aircraft did not have enough height or flying speed to reach the runway. The aircraft then stalled and undershot into the boundary hedge.

Pilot - P/O Graham Thomas Hugill RAFVR (61055).
