Unidentified Blenheim MkIV at Sherburn in Elmet airfield.
On 29th January 1942 this 54 Operational Training Unit Blenheim MkIV was test flown from Church Fenton airfield and during the flight had landed at Sherburn in Elmet airfield. At 16.00hrs the pilot was taking off from Sherburn when the aircraft failed to clear the boundary hedge and was slightly damaged. The incident is briefly recorded in the unit ORB and nothing else is yet known about what happened.
