On 18th October 1941 this 305 Squadron was left on jacks at Lindholme airfield when a gale blew in. The aircraft was not picketted firmly enough and the wind lifted the aircraft off the jacks. Blame was held with the station adjutant. He had received notification of a gale warning but failed to then notify flying and ground crews.
