Wellington W5515 at Pocklington airfield.

On 17th October 1941 this 405 Squadron aircraft was slightly damaged at Pocklington airfield when it was taxied into a barbed wire fence at night, almost certainly following the operational sortie. The pilot left it too late before turning to clear the fence. If this incident did occur after landing from Ops that night then the crew took off from Pocklington at 00.57hrs and bombed Duisburg. The landed at Pocklington at 05.39hrs and the crew was listed in the unit records as being the following.
