Blenheim V5622 near Everingham, Pocklington.
On 17th October 1941 the pilot of this aircraft was undertaking a night training flight, the events surrounding why the pilot abandoned
the aircraft are not yet known but he did not survived . The incident is briefly covered in 54 OTU's ORB which states that the aircraft
then crashed at high speed around a mile south of Everingham at 23.00hrs some distance from where the pilot's body was found. His body was found not badly damaged which lead the investigation team to believe that he had baled out but that his parachute had somehow come detached once he was on the ground and had blown away because of a strong wind blowing at the time.
