Hudson T9351 was built to B.P.C. contract A-67 by the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation at Burbank, California and was shipped to the UK, arriving Liverpool Docks in September 1940. From there it was taken by road to the Lockheed Assembly Division (UK) Ltd at Speke for assembly and testing. It then went to 20 MU on 10th September 1940. It was taken on charge by 224 Squadron at Leuchars on 26th September 1940 the transferred to 233 Squadron at Aldergrove on 16th May 1941. It was transferred to No.6 (Coastal) Operational Training Unit at Thornaby on 20th July 1941. As a result of the accident damage on 16th August 1941 the damage was assessed and was probably Cat.Ac/FA which saw a repair on site. It took until 31st December 1941 for it to be retuned to the unit. In September 1942 it was given a major inspection by Cunliffe Owen that saw it then taken for a repair in works. The aircraft resurfaced on 26th August 1943 when it went to 29 MU for storage. It was then taken on charge by the ATA on 26th August 1944. It went to 22 MU on 27th November 1944 pending disposal and was struck off charge on 14th June 1945.
