Tiger Moth N6880 at Bellasize, near Brough.
On 27th October 1941 the pilot of this aircraft was carrying out a training flight when he stalled it while making a turn prior to making a landing at Bellasize airfield. The aircraft then crashed at Bellasize, near Broomfleet. The aircraft was badly damaged and was later written off.

Tiger Moth N6880 was built to contract 778402/38 by The De Havilland Aircraft Co. Ltd. at Hatfield and was awaiting collection in June 1939. It
was taken on charge shortly after this date by 6 E&RFTS at Sywell. On 3rd September 1939 the unit re-designated as 6 EFTS. On an unknown date in 1941
it was transferred to 4 EFTS at Brough and as a result of the crash on 27th October 1941 Cat.E2/FA damage was recorded.
