Whitley N1506 was destroyed by the enemy action at Driffield airfield on 15th August 1940 while it was parked and bombed.
Whitley N1506 was built to contract 75147/38 by Armstrong Whitworth Ltd. at Baginton. It was awaiting collection on 3rd March 1940 and after a period of MU storage it was
taken on charge by 77 Squadron at Driffield in May 1940 as a replacement for another of 77 Squadron lost towards the end of April 1940. It was destroyed in the raid on 15th
August 1940 with Cat.W damage being recorded.
