Whitley N1413 at Driffield airfield, destroyed by enemy action.
Whitley N1353 was destroyed by the enemy action at Driffield airfield on 15th August 1940 while it was parked in a hanger that was bombed.
The aircraft was built to contract 75147/38 by Armstrong Whitworth Ltd. at Baginton, it was awaiting collection on 2nd November 1939 and was taken on
charge shortly afterwards by 102 Squadron at Driffield who were in the process on converting from Whitley Mk.III's at the time. It was destroyed in the raid
on 15th August 1940 and Cat.W damage was recorded.
