Whitley N1378 was destroyed by the enemy action at Driffield airfield on 15th August 1940 while it was parked in a hanger that was bombed.
It was built to contract 75147/38 by Armstrong Whitworth Ltd. at Baginton and was awaiting collection on 29th September 1939. After a short period of MU storage it
was taken on charge by 102 Squadron at Driffield in November 1939, who were in the process of converting from Whitley Mk.III's. It was destroyed in the raid on 15th
August 1940 with Cat.W damage being recorded.
