Enemy action at Lindholme airfield.
On 27th October 1940 Lindholme airfield was attacked by an enemy aircraft which dropped four bombs on the airfield at 17.50hrs. It turned around and on the second run dropped two more bombs which fell in between airfield buildings. The Station Sick Quarters and a barrack block were damaged. One RAF member was killed and one was injured. Three army personnel were also injured.
