Robinson R.44 G-PIDG at Bolton Abbey.

On 26th June 2010 this helicopter was being flown to the Devonshire Arms County House Hotel & Spa at Bolton Abbey with a second helicopter. The site had two heli-pads and the other helicopter landed first on the larger of the two pads. The pilot of this aircraft moticed that members of the public were too close to the smaller of the helipads for him to safely land there so he attempted to land in a field nearby but the helipcopter landed heavily and rolled onto it's side. All on board escaped injury.
