On 7th May 2003 this helicopter took off from a field site in Nidderdale, immediately the pilot felt a vibration in the aircraft so force-landed the helicopter which remained upright, the two on board exited uninjured. Following an investigation the cause was found to have been the tail boom rotor failing. The aircraft did not suffer any serious external damage and it was later repaired and has now been transferred to fly in the USA.
