A Wellington is said to have made a force landing on Ilkley Moor during the War and landed reasonably intact. Sadly nothing more is known on the incident other than a press report appeared locally in around 2000. The incident could relate to one of the other mishaps in the area during the war and the aircraft mis-identified. No further details are known.
