This glider was given it's certificate of airworthiness in September 1947. It was owned by the North Downs Gliding Trust Limited from 8th April 1949 to 10th January 1964 and flew from Redhill, Surrey when it was withdrawn from use on the 1964 date. After this date it is believed to have been converted to a Mk2 variant and registered as G-ALKA.
