On 22nd July 1944 this aircraft suffered an engine failure while in the area of West Cumbria, the pilot tried to force land the aircraft in a field near Bootle but crashed while doing so. The aircraft was on the books of the Staff Pilot Training Unit based at Cark.
Pilot - Name unknown. Possibly F/Lt Low / /Lowe.
