Denney Kitfox G-BSDD near Coniston.
On 30th October 2018 this aircraft was being flown on a local flight over the Lake District when the pilot noticed that fuel was leaking from the fuel priming pump. He attempted to make a precautionary landing near Coniston to assess the problem but the left wing stalled just prior to touching down in a field between Lake Road and Coniston Hall at 14.58hrs. The left wing struck the ground causing it to bend, the resulting heavy landing saw the left undercarriage leg collapse and the propeller strike the field.
