Incidents in Yorkshire - September 1939.
This list contains all known aircraft accidents and mishaps in Yorkshire during the latter months of 1939 following the outbreak of War. Many incidents in this
period were on and around airfields and only minor damage was sustained in the main. This was also before many of the airfields were a solid surface, the early grass runways were still being used.
A small number are contained on the main section to my website and are linked in accordingly. For many of these incidents little is known of who was on board as yet, research is always ongoing.
