Spitfire MD404 at Leconfield airfield.
At 09.20hrs on 11th December 1945 this Central Gunnery School aircraft was taxying at Leconfield airfield prior to being flown on a weather check flight when a WAAF member of airfield staff suddenly walked out from behind a parked aircraft into the path of this moving aircraft. The pilot could not prevent the WAAF being struck and she sustained injuries.
