Halifax VI RG625 at Elvington airfield.
In the early hours of 7th September 1945 this 347 Squadron was flown on a training flight. On landing at Elvington at 02.35hrs the brake on the main port wheel failed causing the aircraft to swing to starboard when they were applied. Some form of minor Cat.A damage occurred but it is unclear from the AM Form 1180 what this was. This pilot was posted in to 347 Squadron on 17th July 1945 from 20 Operational Training Unit and appears to have remained with them until they flew back to France.
