Oxford R6074 near Carnaby.

Details surrounding this incident are limited. On 12th November 1945 this aeroplane sustained engine failure during or soon after taking off from Lissett, where it was part of the airfield's Station Flight. The pilot appears to have been unable to maintain height and headed toward Carnaby airfield where a crash landing was made in a field near the airfield. The incident is vaguely mentioned in the Carnaby airfield station orb and stated "An Oxford of 4 Group crashed in a field" which would indicate it was away from the large airfield site at Carnaby.

Pilot - Name unknown.
