Halifax III NA621 at Rufforth airfield.
At 23.40hrs on 10th May 1945 Halifax NA621 swung on take off at Rufforth airfield during a circuits and landings training exercise with 1663 Heavy Conversion Unit. It ran off the runway and as it passed a dispersal point it collided with Halifax LK785 that was parked and sat empty. Both aircraft sustained damage that would see them written off.
Pilot - F/Sgt Edward George Seekings RAFVR (629325).

P2 Edward Seekings was flying with 58 Squadron on 23rd August 1949 when Mosquito PF671 crashed near Benson. He was killed and is buried at Edmonton Cemetery, London.
