Halifax III MZ919 at Melbourne airfield.
On 9th June 1945 this 10 Squadron aircraft was flown on a training exercise. On landing at Melbourne airfield at 15.29hrs the aircraft bounced, then swung and eventually collided with part of the FIDO installation causing the tail oleo to break off. Minor Cat.Ac/FA damage was the initial assessment but this was later upgraded to Re-Cat.E and it was struck off charge.
