Spitfire MH753 at Hutton Cranswick airfield.
At 12.30hrs on 22nd October 1945 this No.1 Squadron aircraft was taxying at Hutton Cranswick airfield following an hour long flight when the port undercarriage suddenly collapsed owing to a defect or previously un-noticed crack in a part. The squadron was in the process of moving from Hawkinge to Hutton Cranswick airfield and this incident occurred after the transit flight.
