Halifax III LK785 at Rufforth airfield.

At 23.40hrs on 10th May 1945 Halifax NA621 swung on take off at Rufforth airfield during a circuits and landings training exercise with 1663 Heavy Conversion Unit. It ran off the runway and as it passed a dispersal point it collided with Halifax LK785 that was parked and sat empty on dispersal point No.29. Both aircraft sustained damage that would see them written off.
