Mosquito FB.VI HR257 (probably) at Croft airfield.
On 11th November 1945 this No.13 Operational Training Unit aircraft sustained some form of damage in an incident at Croft airfield but exactly what occurred is unclear. The unit record book gives the date as being 11th November 1945. No.13 O.T.U. were based at Middleton St.George but used Croft airfield as a satellite. Elsewhere on the internet people have tried to link this aircraft as being damaged on 15th November 1945 in the incident to Mosquito HJ785 and subsequent collision when DS722 ran into the wreckage at Croft. Hayho, who am I to argue other than the dates do not tally and they haven't read the unit record book.
