Mosquito FB.VI HJ776 at Croft airfield.
On 14th December 1945 this No.13 Operational Training Unit aircraft suffered from the port main tyre bursting on take off at Croft airfield, a swing developed and the aircraft came to rest with the undercarriage collapsed. The damage was initially assessed as Cat.B/FA but was re-assessed and struck off charge by the end of the month. 13 O.T.U. had their base at Middleton St.George but used Croft as a satillite airfield at the time. The pilot was part of Course 130 at the time of this incident.
