Tiger Moth II EM931 near Bradfield.

On 9th July 1945 the pilot of this No.25 (Polish) Elementary Flying Training School was given permission to undertake authorised aerobatics. His home airfield was Hucknall but it is not clear where this flight was due to have taken place. The pilot became lost and was unable to find an airfield to land on so, when the aircraft ran out of fuel, he force landed in rough field in the Thornseat Delf area of the Bradfield Moors, north-west of Sheffield. The aircraft was badly damaged and not repaired.
