No.13 Operational Training Unit moved from Harwell (and satellites of Finmere and Hampstead Norris) to Middleton St.George during July 1945. The advance party went on 14th July with the main pary going on 22nd with some later aircraft being flown up in the week that followed. I strongly believe that this incident occurred during the unit's move north. On 23rd July 1945 this 13 O.T.U. aircraft landed at Brough airfield and later tipped up on to its nose on take off. The aircraft was badly damaged.
