Unidentified Halifax at (probably) Full Sutton airfield.
Very basic details regarding this incident have been located with a No.4 Group damage return and no other details are known. The damage return stated that on 31st May 1945 this unidentified 77 Squadron Halifxa suffered a
fire in the starboard inner engine on take off (probably at base of Full Sutton). The pilot reduced power to the engine and the fire went out. The fire was caused by fuel pipe leak. Minor Cat.A damage appears to have resulted.
