On 20th May 1939 this 64 Squadron aeroplane was taxying at Church Fenton aerodrome when the pilot accidentally retracted the undercarriage. On this date the squadron took part in the Empire Air Day Display at Church Fenton which saw the aerodrome opened up to the public.
