Spitfire K9855 at Catterick aerodrome.
On 30th March 1939 this 41 Squadron aeroplane was flown on a formation flying exercise. On landing at Catterick with no wind the aeroplane overshot on wet grass and ran into the boundary hedge. It came to rest with it tipped onto it's nose.
