Whitley K8954 at Driffield aerodrome.
On 22nd March 1939 this 102 Squadron aeroplane was flown on a night bombing training exericse. On return to Driffield aerodrome it was landed heavily on the right main undercarriage leg and the leg collapsed when the aeroplane slowed down.
