Hawker Audax K8326 at Brough aerodrome.

On 26th June 1939 this No.4 Elementary and Reserve Flying Training School aircraft overshot on landing at Brough aerodrome and crashed, coming to rest upside down.

Audax K8326 was built to contract 401786/35 by A.V.Roe and Co.Ltd. at Chadderton and was flown to No.3 Aircraft Storage Unit at Sealand on 4th May 1937. It was taken on charge by No.4 Elementary and Reserve Flying Training School at Brough on 27th April 1938. The damage that resulted on 26th June 1939 saw a Cat.M/FA damage assessment and it was repaired on site. On 3rd September 1939 it was transferred to No.5 Flying Training School at Sealand but was transferred back to Brough on 5th December 1939 where it joined the renamed No.4 Elementary Flying Training School. It's stay at Brough was then only short as it was struck off charge on 30th March 1940.
