Slingsby T.59 Kestrel BGA.1761 near Richmond.
During a flight made on Sunday, 5th August 1990 the pilot attempted a field landing near Richmond at 14.30hrs with a gusty wind blowing on the approach. During the lower stages of being in the the wind became calmer but as it landed a gust hit the glider causing a wind to drop and hit the ground. The glider then groundlooped which damaged the fuselage, tail and canopy.
