CEA DR340 Major G-AXSV at Rossington.
During the morning of Saturday, 21st July 1990 this aircraft was being flown from Cambridge to Doncaster but as the aircraft neared Doncaster low cloud caused the pilot significant problems with visibility. The pilot did not have an instrument rating so attempted to fly below the cloud, eventually being too low to safely continue he then attempted to land at his earliest opportunity. At 10.50hrs he attempted to land on a field at Rossington Comprehensive School but the landing was heavy and it sustained substantial damage. At the time of this incident the aircraft was registered to Leonard F Jollye (Brookmans Park) Ltd, of Enfield.
