Cessna F.172H Skyhawk G-AWVA near Normanton.
A Yorkshire Air newsletter states that on 6th July 1990 a police helicopter from Carr Gate, Wakefield was flown to the site of where Cessna F.172 G-AWVA had force landed around 1.5 miles from Normanton railway station.
The date for the incident appears to have been some weeks earlier on 9th June 1990 when the Cessna had suffered engine failure. There is no online AAIB accident report for an incident on this date and I have not yet located a newspaper report that could give confirmation of the date with any other additional information. At the time of this incident the aircraft was registered to Michael Stanley Medden, of Goole.
