Unidentified microlight. Possibly at Boothferry Bridge.
Local newspapers to the Boothferry Bridge area reported that on Saturday, 7th July 1990 people in a car waiting at the bridge saw what they believed to be a white and pink coloured microlight crash into the River Ouse close to them. Over the next week a largescale search was carried out and the river was sonar searched but no trace was found of anything that fitted the description of the microlight or a pilot. The search was stopped. Whether this actually relates to an actual missing microlight or perhaps more likely a report made to the police with good intent though maybe not be an actual crash.
