Reims Cessna F.152 G-BIUN at Netherthorpe airfield.

During the evening of Monday, 4th September 1989 this aircraft was flown from Netherthorpe airfield on what was the pilot's first solo flight. At 18.15hrs, on the landing approach at Netherthorpe, the pilot later stated that she thought the aircraft may have been too low and that she attempted to lift the nose to correct this. The right wing dropped, struck the ground and the aircraft came to rest badly damaged. The aircraft was registered to Sheffield Aero Club, who based the aircraft at Netherthorpe.
