Jodel DR.105A Ambassadeur G-AXUE near Bagby airfield.
At 17.20hrs on Sunday, 11th June 1989 this aircraft was coming into land at Bagby airfield when it was caught by a gust of wind. It was blown off the approach line, struck a tree around two hundred metres from the runway and crashed. One of those on board sustained injuries.

The aircraft was built in 1959 and had previously been registered in France as F-BKFX and then F-OBFX before arriving in the UK and being registered on the civilian
register as G-AXUE in 1969. At the time of this incident it was registered to Mr Lawrence Lewis, of Redcar, who based it at Bagby.
