Piper PA-22-150 Caribbean G-ARFB at Netherthorpe airfield.
During the afternoon of 15th March 1987 this aircraft was flown from another airfield (possibly Ashbourne, Derbyshire) to Netherthorpe airfield. At 16.15hrs the aircraft made an approach to land at Netherthorpe but there were turbulent conditions on the final approach which saw the aircraft began to drift to one side. The pilot corrected the drift but the landing was then heavy and an undercarriage component was damaged.
The aircraft was registered to Messers Clive Thomas Woodward (of Rugeley), Richard William Hall (of Rugeley) and Thomas Lawton (of Ashbourne).
