Reims Cessna F.172M Skyhawk G-YORK at Sherburn in Elmet airfield.

At 15.20hrs on 2nd November 1986 this aircraft bounced twice on landing at Sherburn in Elmet airfield following a flight in the local area. After the second bounce it rose to around six feet above the ground and then dropped back onto the runway. The result of this very heavy landing broke the nose wheel which then caused some additional damage to the aircraft. It was registered to Sherburn Aero Club at the time.
