Grumman G-159 Gulfstream G-BRWN at Leeds-Bradford airfield.

This aircraft was registered to Brown Air Services Ltd. on 13th December 1985 but it had been purchased by them some months earlier from the USA. Their address at the time was given as Pool-in-Wharfedale though the aircraft must have been based at a large airfield and was probably housed at Leeds-Bradford. During the early part of September 1985 it was flown across the Atlantic from the USA, via Goose Bay and Kefalvik. On 10th September 1985 it arrived at Leeds-Bradford airfield but as it landed both the port main undercarriage tyres burst. It eventually came to a halt across a runway intersection blocking the airfield. Minor damage resulted and five days later, after repair, it was flown to East Midlands airport where British certification was to take place.
