Andreasson BA-4B G-BIEX near Snape.
During the afternoon of Good Friday, 20th April 1984 this aircraft was flown on a circuit flying exercise of the pilot's home airstrip at Snape Mires, south of Bedale. On one approach to land the height was misjudged and the aircraft flew into the tops of trees, it then crashed into a field trapping the pilot inside with broken legs and other injuries. The aircraft was badly damaged and was not repaired. The aircraft was registered to the pilot, Mr Harrison Peter Burrill, of Snape, North Yorkshire.
